The Art Gallery of Ontario’s transformation is almost complete, and insiders promise it will be impressive. Linda Milrod, who is both Senior Project Manager Program & Design and Installation Director for the AGO spoke to Radio Out and Out about what people can expect when the gallery re-opens on November 14, ’08. She also provides unique insight into why Frank Gehry was chosen as architect and details of his long-time relationship with Toronto.
The new Art Gallery of Ontario will feature 110 galleries and more than 4,000 works of art. It opens to the public on November 14 with three days of free admission.
Out and Out club members are invited to join Wade on Sunday Nov. 16 ’08 at 2:00pm for a free preview tour of the new galleries. Please check the club’s Nov/Dec newsletter for details.
